Skrill Огляд 2026
Global e-wallet for online payments
Наш висновок
If you already keep money in a multi-currency account such as Wise or Revolut, Skrill is rarely the cheapest place to hold or convert it. Its value is acceptance: some merchants, trading platforms and online services take Skrill as a payment method. This review looks at Skrill from that angle, setting out what it costs to move euros, pounds and dollars in and out, and how that compares with a neobank.
Skrill’s fee page sets the main costs. Currency conversion carries a 4.49% fee on top of a rate Skrill sets itself. Sending money to another Skrill user costs 2.99% (minimum EUR 0.50), bank-transfer top-ups are free, and withdrawing to a bank account costs 1.75% (minimum EUR 3.50). If you neither log in nor make a transaction for six months, Skrill charges EUR 5 a month.
Skrill fees on €500, £500 and $500
| Transaction | €500 | £500 | $500 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top up by bank transfer | Free | Free | Free |
| Top up by Visa/Mastercard (up to 1.25%) | up to €6.25 | up to £6.25 | up to $6.25 |
| Send to another Skrill user (2.99%) | €14.95 | £14.95 | $14.95 |
| Convert to another currency (4.49%) | €22.45 | £22.45 | $22.45 |
| Withdraw to a bank account (1.75%, min EUR 3.50 or equivalent) | €8.75 | £8.75 | $8.75 |
Percentages from Skrill’s fee page; minimum fees are set in EUR “or equivalent”. For comparison, Wise’s UK pricing page quotes conversions from 0.24%, and Revolut’s UK Standard plan charges no exchange fee on weekdays within £1,000 a month.
Verdict for multi-currency users
Use Skrill as a payment method, not as your currency account. Top up by bank transfer in the same currency the merchant charges, so the 4.49% conversion never applies, and do any currency exchange beforehand in Wise or a neobank, where it costs a fraction of that.
Withdraw in larger amounts so the EUR 3.50 minimum matters less, and log in at least once every six months: the EUR 5 monthly inactivity fee is the charge most likely to catch occasional users out. The Skrill prepaid Mastercard (EUR 10 to apply plus EUR 10 a year, 3.99% FX) adds little if you already carry a neobank card.

Good app and wide coverage, but their customer support is slow for non-VIP members. Also, watch out for the inactivity fee if you don't use it for a year.
Very secure. I love that I can deposit using local bank transfers and then spend at thousands of sites without sharing my bank info.
