Luxon Pay Review 2026

Multi-currency e-wallet with tiered fees

3.8

Our verdict

Luxon Pay is an e-wallet built around payments to and from merchants: deposits to and withdrawals from merchants are free, and so are instant transfers to other Luxon Pay users. It supports 38 account currencies and, by Luxon’s count, is available in 132 countries. If you already have a multi-currency account such as Wise or Revolut, Luxon Pay is best seen as a funding wallet for the sites that accept it rather than as a place to convert or spend money.

What you pay depends on your tier, set by how much you deposit to merchants each quarter: Standard (no minimum), Classic (€3,000 to €9,999), Premium (€10,000 to €29,999) and Noir (over €30,000). Bank deposits by vIBAN, card deposits and SEPA withdrawals are free on every tier. Currency exchange costs 2% on Standard, falling to 1%, 0.5% and nothing on Noir. Luxon is a trading name of Luxon EU ApS, registered in Denmark, and the Luxon Pay Mastercard is issued by Monavate UAB, which is authorised by the Bank of Lithuania (licence no. 92). Luxon’s fee page names no licence of its own.

Rates from Luxon Pay’s fee page; currency exchange uses Luxon’s own rate and needs a fully verified account. Open-banking, instant bank and alternative-payment-method deposits may carry fees shown at the time of the transaction. For comparison, Wise’s German pricing page quotes conversions from 0.2%, and Revolut’s EEA Standard plan has no exchange fee on weekdays within €1,000 a month.

Verdict for multi-currency users

Use Luxon Pay to move money to and from merchants that accept it, in the same currency, where it costs nothing: top up by vIBAN bank transfer or card, pay the merchant, and withdraw to your bank by SEPA. At Standard tier, avoid converting or spending abroad with the Luxon card, because the 2% fee is several times what Wise or a neobank charges for the same exchange.

Higher tiers only pay off if you already deposit thousands of euros a quarter to merchants. Even on Noir, card spending in another currency still costs 0.5% and every ATM withdrawal costs 1%, so a multi-currency debit card from Wise or a neobank remains the better travel card.
